Estates Gazette has celebrated the achievements of companies in the commercial property sector by hosting the fourth annual EG Awards.

Estates Gazette magazine, which has been established for 150 years, hosted the black tie event in London on 30th September. More than 1,600 commercial property professionals attended the ceremony.

The shortlist for the awards included a range of decision-makers in the property community such as developers, advisers, investors, and planners.

Among the winners were two companies with offices in Stockton that have worked together to transform areas of Teeside. Consultants Sanderson Weatherall won Property Adviser of the Year North, while Terrace Hill was named Property Company of the Year.

Terrace Hill has recently submitted proposals for a £45m retail and leisure development on the edge of Bishop Auckland, with the intention of providing a long-awaited new home for Bishop Auckland FC, one of the country's most famous amateur football clubs.

The company has also recently completed the one of the largest commercial lettings in the North East: 110,000 sq ft across three buildings has been pre-let to npower at its Baltic Business Quarter development, Gateshead.
