What is the tenant responsible for when renting a property?
- Paying the rent as agreed, on time and taking proper care of the property
- Paying bills for gas electricity, telephone, etc if this was agreed with your landlord
- Generally paying the council tax, water and sewerage charges
- Insuring your personal property
- Not housing any extra persons within the property without notifing the Landlord
